Since we are no longer bound by typical design choices of the Magic: The Gathering universe, we have decided to no longer feature the stories of the planes you've come to know and love. Instead, all future Magic sets will only include the stories and characters of other Intellectual Properties. Our newest sets including, Strixhaven, will be slightly modified prior to release to take in account this decision. Future set release schedule changes can be found below.

Universes Beyond came about thanks to a simple thought—if we can expand our story beyond the game system to things like comics, novels, and other games, then surely we can expand the game system to let players explore worlds outside of the worlds of Magic. Other worlds we plan to explore including their tentative set names:

- Mr. Potato Head: Constructs
- Coca Cola: Feel the Tasting
- Family Guy: Victory Shall Be Mine
- Sonic The Hedgehog: The Ultimate Fursona
- Overwatch: I'm Already Tracer
